The HyperX Cloud III Wireless is the most comfortable wireless headset we’ve ever worn, not just as pleasant as the HyperX Cloud III wired version. The Cloud III Wireless over-ear headset has soft leatherette earpads and an upholstered headband. At 11.64 oz (330 g), it weighs nearly the same as the Arctis Nova Pro.
The 53mm dynamic drivers of the Cloud III Wireless are identical to those of the Cloud II Wireless, but they have been reshaped and slanted to improve audio quality. The drivers provide a frequency response of 10 – 21,000 Hz, which is a little wider than the normal gaming headset but not as wide as the Arctis Nova Pro or the Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT. Included with it is a detachable 10mm boom microphone with a red mute indicator light and an inbuilt pop filter.
Although the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless boasts an astounding 300+ hours of battery life, its remarkable 120 hours of life outlasts that of the majority of wireless gaming headsets. This headset does not support Bluetooth or analog/wired connections; it only offers 2.4GHz wireless communication. This has a disadvantage. Stated differently, this headset is a great choice if you want to use it with just one device (although the device you select needs to be able to accept the USB-C dongle that comes with it).
