Here at Factic’s, we’re constantly searching for the best 4K TVs. To assist you in making the best choice possible when purchasing a new OLED or QLED TV, we subject new models to a rigorous testing procedure as they become available. These are the 4K TVs that we suggest after testing about forty of the best models each year.
In our evaluation of the top TVs, what criteria do we use? Rich audio, crisp visuals, effortless setup, and all the cutting-edge features that the market has to offer are what you desire. To assist you in determining what is worth your money, we compare all those characteristics to the TV’s price.
We test each TV both in our labs and outdoors, measuring everything from lag time for gaming performance to color reproduction and accuracy. Additionally, we view some of the most well-liked TV series and films to assess picture and sound quality.

Pros
- Bette visual quality tham any non-OLED TV we’ve used
- Excellent contrast and off-angle image
- Best-in-class game features
- Sleek design with lightness, thin panels
Cons
- Pricey
- Not as brilliant as high-end OLED TVs
- No notable enhancements over the C2 from 2022
LG C3 OLED – Overview
The C3 has a higher price tag than any other non-OLED TV on this list, yet it still offers better picture quality without being excessively costly. Its superior off-angle viewing, immaculate black levels, and unmatched contrast kept it one step ahead of the mini-LED equivalents in my comparison testing. It still performs admirably in all types of room illumination, even though its total brightness isn’t as impressive. The 65-inch C3 model weights just 37 pounds when paired with a stand, making it one of the lightest TVs we’ve ever tested thanks to its carbon-fiber construction.

- Overall visual quality is excellent
- Suitable Google TV system

Cons

- By default, the “Theater” picture modes use motion smoothing
HISENSE U8K – Overview
If you want the best TV for the money but the TCL QM8 is too huge, the Hisense U8K should be your first choice. We tested the two TVs side by side, and while we preferred the QM8 somewhat, the U8K has one medium-sized advantage: a 55-inch screen. If 65 is too large for your room, budget, or preferences, the choice between the two is clear. Purchase the 55-inch Hisense UK8.
Both have outstanding image quality and are reasonably priced, thanks to mini-LED backlights and full-array local dimming, as well as identical gaming features and the Google TV operating system. Both are hundreds of dollars less expensive than comparable image quality from a more well-known brand.
We tested the 65-inch size in the Hisense U8K series, but the pricing mentioned here are for the 55-inch size.

TCL QM8 – Overview
Editor’s Choice
Although TCL has been at the top of our list of the best TVs for the past few years, the TCL QM8 is an entirely new and improved model. No other TV at this price could equal its combination of exceptional brightness and impact with great contrast, as demonstrated in my comparison testing.
Mini-LED technology and well-executed full-array local dimming are crucial. It also features a center-mount stand and a stylish appearance. Google TV is the operating system; while we prefer Roku TV, it’s still a good smart TV. The TCL 6-Series Roku TV from the previous year is replaced by this model.
The TCL QM8’s primary drawback is that it’s only offered in large sizes (65 inches and up). We suggest the Hisense U8K if you’re looking for a 55-inch TV instead. Please take note that the pricing displayed below are for the QM8 series’ 65-inch size.

Cons

Vizio Quantum Pro – Overview
In our tests throughout the years, Vizio TVs have shown to provide outstanding picture quality at a fair price. In line with this, the Vizio Quantum Pro is a decent mid-range TV option with a few notable drawbacks.
In our lab’s side-by-side comparison tests, the Vizio Quantum Pro yielded superior contrast and performed well for the money when compared to, say, the similarly priced Roku Plus Series. However, as was to be expected, slightly more expensive models, such as the Hisense U8K and TCL QM8, performed better, offering more contrast and brighter images.
The Vizio Quantum Pro’s limited size selection, it’s available in 65 and 75 inch sizes is a significant disadvantage. We reviewed the 65-inch model, but as the specifications and image quality should be the same at any size, the review also holds true for the 75-inch model.
If you’re searching for a smaller TV with an incredible smart TV system in this price range, the 55-inch Roku Plus Series TV is a fantastic choice. Furthermore, Vizio will keep selling the 50-inch M-Series Quantum X TV that was originally released.

Roku Plus Series – Overview
The Plus Series is the newest model in the competitive market for TVs priced in the intermediate range. This TV is exclusively Roku-branded; it doesn’t have any other brands like the TCL Roku TVs higher up on this list. It offers a few step-up additions, such as full-array local dimming and QLED, which contribute to a better picture than, say, the TCL 4-Series.
Rather of collaborating with a company like TCL, Sharp, Pioneer, or Hisense, Roku is producing its first TV under its own name for the first time. The Roku Select Series is a version that was also launched by the firm, although it had less capabilities and no local dimming.
How to Choose the Best 4K TV
How We Tested the Best 4K TVs
FAQs: Best 4K TVs
- Which TV size should I purchase?
Bigger is better, in our opinion, and greater screen sizes are a better use of your money than a little improvement in image quality. The size of the room and the distance you sit from the TV will also determine the size of the TV you need. A larger room will require a larger TV. - Which LED or OLED is better?
OLED TVs, or organic light-emitting diode TVs, have consistently produced higher-quality pictures in our reviews than LED TVs, which are basically LCD TVs with LED backlights. Better contrast and pop are primarily caused by OLED TVs’ ability to generate a flawlessly dark shade of black without any stray illumination or blooming. Compared to OLED TVs, LED TVs typically cost less and can get brighter. - What is the optimum TV sound setting?
The narrow cabinets of most TVs make it impossible to fit bass or decent-sized speakers, which results in horrible sound quality. An external audio system is what you should purchase if you want high-quality sound. The built-in speakers on a TV will not produce audio as well as even a cheap soundbar.
